Above is a photo that I took on Friday morning. That site was really like a dream.
Bad cold that I caught 2 weeks before has finally gone.
I was quite busy lately. I also had many things to do during the weekend.
This is my Sunday's lunch.
Reading a beautiful book about storage.
Ate pasta! My favorite dish.
Bought a christmas cookie and found a nice coat (but I didn't buy that today). After that, I run to apple store! Hectic.
Walked through small beautiful park on my way home. Tokyo is not so cold, but winter will come very soon.
Ate chocolate and started work again.
It's ok. I really love my job.
In Japan, today is a national holiday.
But I've been suffering from a bad cold. Oh- my. It was nice and warm weather...
OK. 246 is the name of street.
Last week I walked entire way to my home from Shibuya. It took about 45 minutes. Not so bad.
This is the place I love. I'd better drove a car. But if do so, you know, I can't take any photo!
Now brand-new huge crossing is under construction. I always think this kind things beautiful. Is it strange?
All cars are going home.
Nick Walker is a street painting artist from Bristol UK.
On that day I got an opportunity to see him. He painted on the wall of my favorite music venue "LIQUIDROOM" in Ebisu.
I didn't know Street painting is such a many-layered high-end art. I was so impressed by his beautifully cut papers, and his magical hands. Although I was chilly night and we all got cold, he said he was fine. He came prepared. hahaha. Very friendly and nice guy.
Ours is different version of his very famous painting in New York City. I was happy he saw Tokyo like that.
The other one is inside the cafe in the second floor of liquid room. So just come and see and feel his world in your own heart. And if you are available tonight, Nick's gonna do performance in Unit Daikanyama tonight. This event will also fun, I think.
Many people believe all Japanese is buddhist.
But that's not true. Me myself, I prefer the way of Shinto's thinking.
Shrines that well known for long time history and importance are, for example Ise Jingu (伊勢神宮 いせじんぐう) in Mie pref. and Izumo Taisha (出雲大社 いずもたいしゃ) in Shimane. Among those, this Meiji Jingu (明治神宮) in Harajuku Tokyo is quite new, and it's popular because of the amazingly huge number of visitors during new year's holiday (Yes we have!).
But I have to admit that there is something special air fly. Although the forest around the shrine is also new and man-made (like Central park in NY), we can feel powers of elemental god like "God of tree" "God of stone" "God of soil" in very Shinto's way.
Making sounds when eating noodles is good manner.
But just noodles, not soup. You can use a spoon for it.
Finish Ramen, Udon, Soba as fast as possible.
Every kind of noodles is going bad very quickly. In my opinion, within 10 minutes at the longest.
So There is no time to chat. Just eat.
Once get used to it, you can handle these side dishes very well.
I and my little sister N shared special rice and dumplings.
This is not me. Because I'm lefty!
It's summer now, so it's time for Edamame.
I know there are a lot of this boiled beans Lovers outside of Japan. Great. I love to eat it with drinking beer. Obviously better than eating chips. But please remember that, in my private view, black beer like my favorite Guinness is not a perfect match for Edamame.
And one more. You had not better bite bean's pod.
Push pod softly, you'll see half of beans face. And bite just beans.
U~n. Perfect!
